How is the visit of the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona? Will we see Gaudi’s work in Barcelona?

After the Park Güell, we propose a stroll through the Gothic Quarter to discover the history of this exciting city.

The driver will take us to the entrance of the district and from there we will take a walk. The facade of the Barcelona Cathedral, the King’s Square with its Roman remains, Saint James Square (or Sant Jaume) and the old Jewish Quarter will guide you to the Ribera district. This is where the Saint Catherine market is located. This is an excellent area to stop for lunch.

After lunch, a modernist afternoon awaits us! A panoramic view of Passeig de Gracia while admiring Modernist houses will help us understand the economic and the social moment. The facades of Casa Batlló, Casa Amatller and Casa Lleo and Morera (all three are part of the Manzana de la Discordia) will show you the wealth and power of the Barcelona bourgeoisie at the beginning of the 20th century.

We will end the visit of Barcelona in one day with a visit of the Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudí. This is the masterpiece of the architect. You will decode the facades, marvel at the interior, go through the 137 years of construction and you will end up as a child in the school!

Anna was great. We toured with 2 adults and a 13 year old. She answered every question, gave a great overview and knew everything about the cathedral. Her english is excellent and she made learning fun. I would highly recommend to everyone for her vast knowledge of Barcelona and the cathedral.
