It is often said that Gaudí was inspired by nature

and with this Park Güell and Sagrada Familia tour we will show you how true it is.

Did you know that 1883 was a crucial year in Gaudi’s life? In 1883, he was hired to continue the construction of an expiatory temple in Barcelona that would become his masterpiece –The Sagrada Familia– and he met Mr. Güell who was his great friend and patrons. Their friendship has left a great heritage to the city of Barcelona.

It is often said that Gaudí was inspired by nature and with Gaudi’s Park Güell and Sagrada Familia we will show you how true it is. We will meet at the gate of Gaudi’s Park Güell to explore it and be amazed with his techniques for optimizing water and plants. Different buildings will allow you to discover the history of this failed business (yes, we have a Park thanks to the fact that Mr. Güell was not lucky with this company) and you will understand the Barcelona of 1900.

The second part tour Gaudi’s Park Güell and Sagrada Familia is a visit to the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s masterpiece and also the architect’s architectural testament. Its naturalistic facade, its colored windows and the angular columns, will allow us to understand how brilliant Gaudi was.

How is does this visit of the Park Güell and the Sagrada Familia work?

You will meet your local private guide at the main entrance of Barcelona’s Park Güell, located in Olot Street. Then you will discover the origin of Park Güell and Gaudi’s relationship with the Güell family while walking through the greenest part of the park. The viaducts designed by Gaudi and the exterior of the house where he lived are part of the itinerary. The second part of the Park Güell tour is the monumental part where you will have the opportunity to sit on the most famous bench in Barcelona and to pose next to the famous salamander.

In order to reach the Sagrada Familia as soon as possible, we will take a taxi.

The second part of this tour is a visit to the Sagrada Familia to discover the fascinating history of this Barcelona’s icon and its relationship with the city and of course the role of Antoni Gaudi. Its forms, its colors and its light will amaze you as well as its history and anecdotes explained by your guide of Barcelona.

Anna was great! She was informative without being boring, catered to our specific sight-seeing requests, and kept us fully enlightened and entertained. How this woman has so much knowledge, I don’t know! She literally had the answer to every single question we had. We stopped for a coffee mid-way as she could sense we were getting tired from walking and I enjoyed chatting to her socially. I 100% recommend her for anyone going to Barcelona!

Anne M.

We engaged Anna for a 3 days private tour in Barcelona. She is very dedicated and knowledgeable on every places of interest in Barcelona. When my child wasn’t feeling too well during the trip, she was flexible and accommodative to our last minute changes and requests. My family truly enjoyed our trip in Barcelona and had a wonderful time spent with Anna. If you are looking for customized private tour, Anna will be the best person to engage!!

We concur with all the previous wonderful reviews of Anna and her team. We ended up having three tours with Anna and each one was different, informative and superb. If you would prefer to soak in the city and keep your nose out of the guide books and maps contact Barcelonina. Our trip to Spain had been derailed but once we contacted Jordi, everything started to improve. These folks have it together, make great suggestions on what to do and are patient with letting you make up your mind. Barcelona would not have been nearly as fascinating without them.
