The Barcelona foodie tour -Born edition- step by step
We will start this Barcelona Foodie Tour the same way we love to start our meals: enjoying a vermut (vermouth), we use to drink it with olives (just in this area you’ll be surprised) and some croquettes (just a for instance). Old wine barrels, wooden tables and medieval walls will be the beginning of this tasty adventure.
After this first stop, we bet you’ll be a little bit hungry, (this is the mission of the vermut, to open your stomach), and of course, we will take good care of it. We will stop in a wine bar to taste some Catalan wines and some food. Which kind? Mmmm, that’s and ace we prefer to keep in our sleeve.
The last venue will be a beloved, local and popular restaurant where they serve amazing platillos. Those are to share, like the tapas, but they are just more sophisticated. Iberian ham, smoked sardines on a toast, lamb terrine or octopus bombs are some of their specialities.

- A Private Tour Guide just for you and your party. You won’t be sharing your guide with strangers.
- A pincho or a snack with a drink, a vermouth with appetisers, two different wines paired with food. If you appetite is average, you won’t need lunch after the tour.

Is the food included in the price?
Yes. The prices change according to the number of people in your party. We prefer to include food this way you know the final price. However, drinks and food won’t be ordered beforehand. Once you arrive to each venue, the guide will give you the options you have to choose what fits better your taste. One advice: be adventurous! We’re sure you’ll make amazing discoveries.
In this Barcelona Foodie Tour -Born Edition- You will taste a vermut, a white wine, a rosé wine (both Catalan) and a red wine. Tapas, platillos and other specialities will be paired with the drinks. You won’t need to have lunch or dinner after the tour.
Are there some explanations about the neighbourhood as well?
Yes, since we are a team of guides who happens to be foodies as well, we will unveil you the history of the neighbourhood when we go from one venue to the other. Santa Maria del Mar, Rambla del Born and Montcada Street will take several centuries back in time.
Which is the best hour to have this Barcelona Foodie Tour?
As you probably know, we use to have our meals quite late. In fact, the Spanish hours are often a topic of conversation. This is the reason why if you start your tours very early, the venues will be opened but you won’t see a local. We advise to start the tour around 11 a.m. (lunch) or after 6 p.m. (diner)
About the weekdays, the closest to the weekend, the better.
Are you on a cruise-ship?
In this case, the meeting point would be at the Pier. The guide will wait for you at the exit of the ship holding a sign with your name on it. In order to make the most of the tour, you will reach the starting point by taxi.
