An evening in the Raval, the Gothic and the Ribera quarters
Myths and legends
A bit of history
Ideal for an evening
Do you enjoy legends? Would you like to explore the legendary Barcelona?
We’ll discover the legends of the Raval, the Gothic and the Ribera in an ideal tour for the evening!
To begin with this historical tour, we will meet at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, as it can not be otherwise, we will talk about its well-known fires. Without fear of the smell of fire, we will go into the Raval quarter where you will discover the essence of the neighborhood. The ghost of Margarida Xirgú will be with us as we pass the Romea theater where she played her most famous roles. Once in the old medieval hospital, we will talk about hunchbacks and maneuvers. And of course, ghosts and spirits.
The second part of the route will take you to the Gothic Quarter, where we will reveal the origin of Santa Maria el Pi and the fables that surround the neighborhood as our steps take us into the Jewish Quarter. Its streets have witnessed many chapters of our history and also the origin of many legends.
Passing by the basilica of Sant Just i Pastor we will arrive at La Ribera, a neighborhood of many stories on their streets as Bòria, Corders, Passeig del Born, Montcada, Mirallers … in addition to being streets where it is fashionable to settle today, they have been the source of curious events.
Do you like legends and ghosts don’t scare you? Is a family celebration approaching and would you like to do an original activity? Are you co-workers with cultural concerns? Our routes are suitable for all audiences. In addition, being private tours, we adapt perfectly to the rhythm of the group.

Why choose to discover the Old City?
First of all, for its historical importance (it is the origin of the City) and for its patrimonial remains.
In addition, given that Barcelona has always had land to expand, it has not been necessary to make major demolitions and the legacy we have is immense. We suggest you discover this legacy in a very medieval way: walking and listening to its legends.
It is worth mentioning that both the Raval and the Born are cultural landmarks in Barcelona. Artists and artisans have their workshops and galleries in the neighborhood where you can learn about the latest artistic and craft innovations in Barcelona.
Finally, its evolution during the twentieth century: Ciutat Vella began a transformation for the 1992 Games of which we are heirs today.

Yes! I want to take this tour
A very medieval tour through the legends of the old city
Anna was great! She was informative without being boring, catered to our specific sight-seeing requests, and kept us fully enlightened and entertained. How this woman has so much knowledge, I don’t know! She literally had the answer to every single question we had. We stopped for a coffee mid-way as she could sense we were getting tired from walking and I enjoyed chatting to her socially. I 100% recommend her for anyone going to Barcelona!
We engaged Anna for a 3 days private tour in Barcelona. She is very dedicated and knowledgeable on every places of interest in Barcelona. When my child wasn’t feeling too well during the trip, she was flexible and accommodative to our last minute changes and requests. My family truly enjoyed our trip in Barcelona and had a wonderful time spent with Anna. If you are looking for customized private tour, Anna will be the best person to engage!!
We concur with all the previous wonderful reviews of Anna and her team. We ended up having three tours with Anna and each one was different, informative and superb. If you would prefer to soak in the city and keep your nose out of the guide books and maps contact Barcelonina. Our trip to Spain had been derailed but once we contacted Jordi, everything started to improve. These folks have it together, make great suggestions on what to do and are patient with letting you make up your mind. Barcelona would not have been nearly as fascinating without them.
