It is often said that Gaudí was inspired by nature and in this tour we will show you how true it is.

Step into the mind of Antoni Gaudí, where the rigid lines of traditional architecture dissolve into the organic curves of the natural world. This exclusive tour explores the deep-rooted relationship between Gaudí and his visionary patron, Eusebi Güell, a partnership that transformed Barcelona’s landscape. We begin at Park Güell, wandering through stone viaducts that mimic local flora and exploring the Monumental Zone’s vibrant mosaics.

After a comfortable taxi transfer, we arrive at the Sagrada Família. As professional guides, we bypass the crowds via the exclusive reserved entrance, granting you immediate access to Gaudí’s “Stone Forest.” This tour isn’t just a sightseeing trip; it is an exploration of how Gaudí’s spiritual devotion and his observation of nature culminated in the world’s most famous basilica. Experience the history, the hidden geometry, and the legacy of a man who believed that “nature is a wide-open book.”

The tour step by step

This curated experience offers a deep dive into the Modernisme movement, focusing on the two pillars of Gaudí’s life: his revolutionary architectural language inspired by nature and his vital friendship with the industrialist Eusebi Güell.

The Garden City Dreams Our journey begins at Park Güell, originally conceived as a luxury residential estate. Here, we analyze how Gaudí integrated infrastructure into the landscape. We will walk the stone viaducts, designed to resemble bird nests and trees, and visit the Monumental Zone. You will discover how the collaboration with Güell allowed Gaudí the financial freedom to experiment with the “trencadís” mosaic technique and ergonomic forms that define his style today.

A Seamless Transition We leave the hilltop via a private taxi, allowing for a moment of reflection as we transition from Gaudí’s secular garden to his sacred mission. This short ride bridges the gap between the playful social spaces of the park and the solemn majesty of the cathedral.

The Forest of Stone Upon arrival at the Sagrada Família, we utilize our professional guide credentials to enter through the priority access gate. Inside, the narrative shifts toward Gaudí’s later years. We will explore the Nativity and Passion facades, decoding the natural symbolism hidden in every carving. Under the soaring hyperboloid vaults, you will see how Gaudí abandoned the Gothic flying buttress in favor of arborescent columns—pillars that branch out like giant sequoias to support the roof.

By the end of this tour, you will understand how Gaudí’s work was never about defying gravity, but rather about following the laws of nature to reach the heavens. It is a story of a patron who believed in a genius, and a genius who believed in the divine geometry of the world.

How many buildings of Gaudi are there in Catalonia?
In Catalonia there are 14 Gaudi buildings, most of them in Barcelona. We offer guided tours in all the open buildings such as Casa Milà, Casa Batlló and Casa Vicens. This last one with a walk through the district of Gracia. Casa Bellesguard, Palau Güell and, of course, Park Güell and Sagrada Familia are also part of our guided tours in Barcelona.

“I always tell my guests: Gaudí didn’t invent anything; he simply looked at the trees and the mountains more closely than anyone else.
Sharing the secrets of his ‘natural’ geometry and the loyal friendship he had with Güell is my favorite part of being a guide. I can’t wait to show you the details most people miss!”

Anna was great! She was informative without being boring, catered to our specific sight-seeing requests, and kept us fully enlightened and entertained. How this woman has so much knowledge, I don’t know! She literally had the answer to every single question we had. We stopped for a coffee mid-way as she could sense we were getting tired from walking and I enjoyed chatting to her socially. I 100% recommend her for anyone going to Barcelona!

We engaged Anna for a 3 days private tour in Barcelona. She is very dedicated and knowledgeable on every places of interest in Barcelona. When my child wasn’t feeling too well during the trip, she was flexible and accommodative to our last minute changes and requests. My family truly enjoyed our trip in Barcelona and had a wonderful time spent with Anna. If you are looking for customized private tour, Anna will be the best person to engage!!

We concur with all the previous wonderful reviews of Anna and her team. We ended up having three tours with Anna and each one was different, informative and superb. If you would prefer to soak in the city and keep your nose out of the guide books and maps contact Barcelonina. Our trip to Spain had been derailed but once we contacted Jordi, everything started to improve. These folks have it together, make great suggestions on what to do and are patient with letting you make up your mind. Barcelona would not have been nearly as fascinating without them.
